The Blessed Virgin Appoints Three Ambassadors in America

On September 1, 1991, in a field in Indiana, Our Blessed Mother appeared as “the Lady of Light” to five mothers. One of the five was the “Batavia, Ohio, Visionary”. Her message was “ I am the Lady of Light. Take my light and spread it into the darkness of ignorance overshadowing the earth.” Later she said that “she was appearing to them as mothers because she needed all the mothers of America to reach the children.”

One month later, while at a Marion Conference in Chicago, the Batavian Visionary met Fr. T. Donald Rinfret, S.J. of Baltimore, Maryland. Our Blessed Mother told the visionary that he was to be her “Priest of the East”.

There were many messages given to the Visionary whose identity Our Blessed Mother asked to remain anonymous. Our Blessed Mother had a special message to the people of America at this time. She said, “I am your Mother and wish to be known in America as “The Lady of Light”. For America is in spiritual darkness which they have created through their ignorance of the errors of their ways. I have come to America now so that I can help them in their search through this spiritually blinding time and to lead them into the light of God. Oh, America! My heart is saddened when I view you, for you have completely shut your God out of your lives and gone off in selfish pursuit of you own selfish desires. Now is the time you must choose.” … “If you continue to turn away and insult your Maker, you will draw serious consequences upon you and your land.”

Our Blessed Mother’s messages have been recorded in a series of books available through the Our Lady of Light Publications. More information will be available at the end of this article.

In December Fr. Leroy Smith, pastor of Saint Joseph’s Church, received correspondence which indicated that his church will be “a place of great devotion… where Our Lady will manifest herself.” (St. Joseph’s Church is in Cold Spring, Kentucky about 20 miles from Batavia, Ohio.) On May 10, 1992, Our Lady announced there would be three priests in America called to be her “special ambassadors”, Fr. Rinfret in the east, Fr. Smith in the middle, and another priest in the west. She further asked that September 1st be designated as a “Day of Prayer” and that the prayer Our Lady of Light be distributed throughout the United States. On August 31, 1992 the first annual public manifestation of Our Lady of Light occurred at midnight at St. Joseph Church. She continued to appear there on the same day through August 31, 1994. In December of 1992, Our Lady of Light’s message to Fr. Smith was “I have great plans for my House of Mary.” The “House of Mary” was re-blessed and re-named Our Lady of the Holy Spirit Center. She said,

A) “I established My House to become a beacon of faith for the lost souls to find their way back to God.” She wanted it to always remain a place of prayer where the Blessed Sacrament was available to all, the rosary could always be heard and priests could come to become renewed and refreshed.

B) “Let it be known that I urgently call my children everywhere to prayer – especially at My House, which I desire to be an example of prayer to others. It is my request that the doors be opened there to the faithful and that the prayers of my Holy Rosary resound from there to God the Father and ask for His mercy on your land and on all of your world. I will join all gathered in prayer anywhere and at any time to intercede with the Father for peace to return to the hearts of mankind.”

On December 8, 1993, Fr. Lawrence Sweeney, from the Church of the Holy Family in Ogden, Utah was identified as the “Priest of the West.”

Many messages and signs have been given to each of the three priests some individually and some together. In December of 2003 Msgr. Sweeney and another priest Fr. Kenney received the following message, “As I have said, the cure for the Church lies in devotion to the Eucharist. Spread it over our country and your world. Know that after the time of this great tribulation and purification, the Church will emerge stronger than ever. But before then, all will be tested in their faith, especially those who follow Jesus. Continue to guide those who are weak in their faith and be ever compassionate and tolerant-as Jesus would, for all of His priest are His ambassadors and He uses your hands to accomplish God’s will.”

On January 7, 1994 the Visionary received a phone from Fr. Sweeney (the priest from the West). During the conversation he related the special signs he received as Our Lady had promised. He explained that “during Benediction, something miraculous had occurred and that a Doctor who was there had gotten it on video tape because he was filming at the time. It seems that while the Blessed Sacrament was exposed there appeared to be a ‘heartbeat’ in it.” He said that several times during Christmas he had experience again (this had happened before) the red blood-like substance on his hands during the elevation of the chalice at the Consecration of the Mass. He said that this happens often but that he felt that his (the latest, promised) sign had been sent in the heartbeat in the Host.“

In June of 1995, the Batavia Visionary called Fr. Smith and related to him the following message from Our Blessed Mother.

“My Child,

Besides three priestly sons chosen as my special ambassadors here in your land of America, three children shall likewise appear, one in the east, one in the west, and one in the center, who will help me lead souls to Jesus. You will know these children when they come forth because they also will wear the marks of Christ though their marks will be outward and visible to all. … “Remember it is through suffering that you are united to the Heart of Jesus. Pray to the Holy Spirit for understanding. Abandon your will to the Father’s Will and trust me to lead you into holiness.”

In April of 2003, the “child in the west” appeared. Alex an electrical engineer from Venezuela, who had become an American cititzen, prayed for a “small sign” that he should leave the Morman Church and return to the Catholic Faith. On April 24th he received his answer. He received the stigmata on his hands. He did not recognize what this was and was frightened by it. A week later he began to bleed from his feet, side and forehead. Sometimes even receiving whip marks on his back. A friend from Venezuela, explained that these marks could be the Wounds of Christ and suggested that he contact a priest. Fr. Ramirez, Fr. Bonnell and Deacon Weiss were involved in the initial evaluations of the wounds. On May 13th he received a vision from a woman who was all light. He could not see her face. She asked if he would be willing to bear the wounds of her son to help ease his sufferings. Three days later she reappeared and asked the same question. Alex said “yes”. In August or September of 2003 Alex was introduced to Fr. Sweeney. Alex suffered his first Good Friday in 2004. Fr. Sweeney, Deacon John, Fr. Javier and several friends along with his wife witnessed this. It was very intense. He suffered the suffocation on the cross, once in the morning and again about noon.

Alex continues to suffer daily and travels both in the United States and periodically outside (the US) talking about the messages that he receives monthly from Our Blessed Mother and explaining the meaning of the stigmata that he bears. Just like “Her House of Prayer in the middle”, Our Blessed Mother has asked Alex for a “House of Prayer in the West.”

The writer of this article wishes to acknowledge the 5 volume set of books from Our Lady of Light Publications without which this articl could not have been written. There is no way to adequately relate the depth and extent of the messages that have been revealed in them. I strongly urge everyone to read these books so that you can discern for yourself these messages of private revelation. I hope that this article “connect the dots” for you in a way that shows the larger plan that Our Blessed Mother has for all of us and how active She is in our lives and how much She wishes to bring us to Her son, Our Lord Jesus Christ.
